1

Start with an image

Upload a lifestyle shot, editorial, or product photo — JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, or HEIC up to 50 MB (iPhone HEICs are converted automatically). Higher resolutions keep every mark sharp at every breakpoint.

  • Aim for at least 1200px on the longest side
  • Lifestyle scenes convert better than white-background catalog shots

2

Drop a mark on each product

Click anywhere on the image to add a mark. Every mark is an interactive pin shoppers hover or tap to reveal the product underneath.

  • Place the mark on the product, not floating beside it
  • Give crowded scenes breathing room — at least 40px between marks

3

Fill in the product details

Give each mark a title, price, and destination link. Add an optional description and call-to-action to turn a hover into a click.

  • Keep titles under ~40 characters so they never truncate
  • Add UTM parameters to product links so traffic shows up in your analytics tool
  • Use verbs in your CTA — "Shop", "Get", "Try"

Arrange your layout

Grouping multiple images into one Markspot? Arrange them in a responsive grid with independent settings for desktop, tablet, and mobile.

  • Preview at every breakpoint before publishing
  • Mobile-first: design the phone view, then expand outward

5

Publish your Markspot

Publishing mints a single embed tag. Paste it anywhere HTML runs — Shopify, Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, or your own site — and analytics start flowing back to your dashboard.

  • Edits propagate to every live embed in minutes — no need to re-paste the tag
  • Impressions and clicks land in your dashboard within minutes of the first view
